The Restraint Reduction Network has partnered with the Positive and Safe Network, which was re-established in November 2018. The Network was originally established by Guy Cross and Ben Thomas in the Department of Health for health care providers.
The network hosts events each quarter in different locations around the country to think together about a variety of topics to share best practice, latest research, and updates from the CQC and other national bodies on work aligned to reducing restrictions. It is open to anyone who shares a vision of reducing restrictive practices and would like to contribute and connect with others. As well as providing a network for the health sector, the network also welcomes people with lived experience, providers from social care and education and members of the Restraint Reduction Network Community of Practice.
Join us this March for events focusing on Trauma Informed Care, where there will be opportunity to hear and share examples of good practice, case studies, and from experts in the field. Dates for the March events can be seen below.
We have two dates for this event:
Wednesday 11th March 2020: Fieldhead Hospital, Wakefield, West Yorkshire
Wednesday 25th March 2020: Field Place Manor house, Worthing, West Sussex.
