Working together to reduce restrictive practices – February 2019 Conference

Thank you to everyone who came to our February 2019 conference, which was held in partnership with BILD and the Royal College of Psychiatrists.

The event took place on 5th February at the Royal College of Psychiatrists in London. 

Our keynote speakers included Tim Kendall, NHS England’s National Clinical Director for Mental Health and Dr Paul Lelliott, Deputy Chief Inspector of Hospitals, CQC.  We also heard from Tom Ayres, Royal College of Psychiatrists, and Amar Shah, East London NHS Foundation Trust, and Beth Morrison from Positive and Active Behaviour Support. Restraint Reduction Network Chair Professor Joy Duxbury was joined by Ajibola Lewis, mother of Olaseni Lewis, to talk about Seni’s Law.
