BTEC Level 5 Bild Diploma in Practice Leadership in Reducing Restrictive Practices
Leadership is one of the six core strategies essential in reducing restraint. The Level 5 BTEC Diploma helps practice leaders translate theory into practice, supporting services who are committed to restraint reduction achieve their goals.
The qualification is designed for people who work in services providing direct support, who can shape the practice of colleagues, helping them to develop a culture of least restriction.
BTEC Level 5 Bild Diploma in Practice Leadership in HOPE(S) Model to Reduce LTS
The HOPE(S) model is a successful human rights-based approach to working with individuals in segregation developed from research and clinical practice. The model was developed by Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust. It reduces the use of Long Term Segregation (LTS – also referred to as solitary confinement) sometimes experienced by autistic adults, adults with a learning disability, and children and young people.
The qualification supports practitioners to work collaboratively and lead proactively with frontline clinicians, individuals, and families.
Trauma informed Practice
The previous RRN Diploma in Trauma Informed Practice is now being delivered by Bild and Respond.
