Understanding restrictive practices in eating disorder care for children and young people
February 19, 2026
The University of Cumbria, Beat, and the NIHR are looking for people to join a Public and Patient Involvement (PPI) advisory group for a funded project exploring children and young people and families’ experiences of eating disorder services and restrictive practices.
The project aims to understand how restrictive practices are used in eating disorder care for children and young people, and what these experiences are like for the people affected.
Find out more about the project on the Beat website.
If you are interested in being a part of the project, an online information session is being held on 25 February from 6-7 pm.
