Top Priority 1

MMVA will use learner feedback, assessment outcomes, course evaluations, client feedback and quality assurance findings to review and improve training.

Measure of Success

Success will be demonstrated through consistent collection, review and actioning of learner feedback, assessment data and quality assurance findings, with clear evidence that data is driving course improvements. Success looks like: evaluation feedback reviewed after every cohort with themes identified and recorded; assessment outcomes analysed to identify areas where learners are less confident or less consistent; client and employer feedback used to validate that training is translating into practice; and a documented trail from data findings through to course amendments, updated learning outcomes or revised trainer guidance. Annual governance review will confirm that training data is informing meaningful improvement rather than being collected and filed. Evidence sources â—‹ Course evaluation forms - Delegate feedback on training quality, content and relevance after each session - Approximately 1,300 evaluations captured with average rating of 4.8/5.0 â—‹ Learner assessment records - Competency assessments completed during and after training - Records of pass, referral and retest outcomes â—‹ Client and stakeholder feedback records - Direct feedback from commissioning employers and placing organisations â—‹ P-MMVA-M09 Complaints, Suggestions and Compliments Policy and Procedure - Formal complaints log and investigation records - Compliments and suggestions reviewed for themes â—‹ Relevant quality registers and logs - Quality failures, corrective actions and lessons learnt from training activity â—‹ BILD ACT audit and quality assurance records - Internal and external quality assurance findings and responses â—‹ Monday.com operations platform and governance boards - Real-time data capture, feedback tracking and governance oversight - AI-assisted analysis used in line with UK GDPR and internal cyber security controls â—‹ Governance Planner - AUDITS board - Annual training data review recorded as part of the RRN pledge review

Top Priority 2

MMVA will maintain trainer competence and consistency so that trainers deliver clear and consistent messages on prevention, de-escalation, restraint reduction, human rights, least restrictive practice and safe physical intervention.

Measure of Success

Success will be demonstrated through maintained trainer competence across the full team, with evidence that trainers are delivering consistent, rights-based and prevention-focused content. Success looks like: all trainers current in BILD ACT accreditation and competency assessments; standardisation records showing consistent messaging on restraint reduction, least restrictive practice and human rights; observation feedback confirming that trainers are applying therapeutic and preventative approaches in delivery; CPD logs evidencing active engagement with current best practice, including attendance at relevant sector events; and learner feedback and assessment outcomes confirming that training content is being understood and applied in practice. Annual governance review will confirm that trainer standards are being maintained and that any gaps identified are acted upon promptly. Evidence sources â—‹ Trainer competency and qualification records - BILD ACT trainer accreditation certificates and renewal records - Competency assessment records per trainer â—‹ P-MMVA-PR37 Code of Practice for Trainers - Trainer CPD requirements, conduct standards and quality obligations â—‹ Trainer observation and standardisation records - Internal observation notes, feedback and actions - Standardisation meeting minutes, attendance and actions â—‹ CPD logs - Individual CPD records per trainer - Evidence of engagement with BILD, RRN, NAPICU, NAHS and sector events â—‹ Annual trainer review records - Review outcomes, development plans and action records â—‹ Safety Pod training and governance documentation - MMVA SOP 02-01 and RA-TRG-HS02/01 - Named competent trainers and inspection logs â—‹ Governance Planner - AUDITS board - Annual trainer workforce development review attached to the RRN pledge item

Top Priority 3

MMVA will ensure relevant training content promotes prevention, early intervention, de-escalation, trauma-informed practice, communication strategies and alternatives to restrictive intervention.

Measure of Success

Success will be demonstrated through course content that consistently prioritises prevention, de-escalation and least restrictive approaches ahead of physical intervention. Success looks like: learning outcomes explicitly referencing prevention, early intervention and alternatives to restraint; lesson plans and trainer guidance structured to ensure de-escalation content is given appropriate weight relative to physical skills; learner feedback confirming that training has increased confidence in preventative approaches; and assessment outcomes showing that learners can identify and apply de-escalation strategies in scenario-based assessments. Annual course review records will confirm that prevention content is current, evidence-based and aligned to BILD ACT and RRN standards. Evidence sources â—‹ Course materials and lesson plans - Version-controlled lesson plans, slides and learner handouts - Learning outcomes documented per module and course â—‹ P-MMVA-CR77 Restraint Reduction and Training Risk Reduction Plan - Governing framework for prevention-focused training design and delivery â—‹ Course review logs - Annual review records showing content checked against BILD ACT standards and best practice - Actions and amendments recorded and tracked â—‹ Learner assessment records - Scenario-based assessment outcomes confirming application of de-escalation strategies â—‹ Course evaluation forms - Learner feedback on relevance and confidence in preventative approaches â—‹ Safety Pod documentation - MMVA SOP 02-01 and RA-TRG-HS02/01 supporting least restrictive practice toolkit â—‹ QF01 Document Index - Controlled course materials, version history and review documentation â—‹ Governance Planner - AUDITS board - Annual audit of prevention content and course review outcomes
